Intercessory Prayer at Epiphany Centre:On Fridays 08, 15, 22, 29, November 2019, the Diocesan Charismatic team members had a special Intercessory prayer at Epiphany Pastoral Centre. Around 25 members gathered and prayed for Vocation and intensions of the Diocese. Thanks to the team members for the active participation.

Night Vigil at Epiphany Centre:On Saturday, 09 November 2019, Full Night vigil prayer was organized by the Diocesan Charismatic Commission members. Nearly 45 members from various parishes participated. Rev. Fr. Kirubakaran offered Holy Mass and shared the Word of God. Sincere thanks to Rev. Fr. Kirubakaran and the team members for all their effort and participation.

Formation of Charismatic members at Valapady:On Mondays 04, 11, 18, November the Diocesan Charismatic team members visited Valapady Parish. Ongoing formation for the parish Charismatic team members ministry was taken by the Diocesan team. Nearly sixty of them regularly attend the meeting and continuously involve in all the parish activities. Sincere thanks to Rev. Fr. Vimal, Parish priest and the parishioners and the intercessory group for the involvement and support.

Second Saturday Special Prayer:On Saturday, 09 November 2019, one day prayer meeting was organized by the Diocesan Charismatic Commission members. Rev. Fr. Kirubakaran, Parish Priest, Kunnamalai, conducted the prayer service. The day began with Praise and worship, breaking of the Word, Holy Mass and then ended with the devotion to Mother Mary. Nearly 175 members from various parishes participated. Sincere thanks to Rev. Fr. Kirubakran, the Diocesan team members, Rev. Sisters, volunteers and the benefactors for their prayerful presence.


The Catholic Senior Citizens of our diocese had their monthly gathering at Epiphany Pastoral Centre on Saturdays, 02 & 29 November 2019. Members prayed for the intensions of the diocese. Sincere thanks to the member for their active participation.

strong>Kolping Day Celeberation:On 8th November 2019, we celebrated Kolping Day in a grand manner in Thalaivasal Block.The Programme was led by Rev. Fr. M. Rajamanickam, Director of Salem Social Service Society. The Rev. Fr. Antony Raj, National Director, Kolping India, was the chief guest of our programme. On mark of this day we planted 25 Tree saplings in Thalaivasal Union office.

After the Plantation we had common meeting in Union office Hall, Rev. Fr. M. Rajamanickam, Director, SSSS gave an introduction speech about the Organization. Mr. Arul Barathi, Rural Development Department, Thalaivasal delivered the speech about importance of Tree plantation. Rev. Fr. Edward Thadeus, Parish Priest, Thalaivasal delivered the speech about environmental issues and motivated the people to planting the trees. Rev. Fr.Antony Raj spoke about how to protect and maintain the environment for our future generation. At the end of the programme Tree saplings were given to Members. 158 Kolping group members participated in this programme. Mrs. Punitha, Coordinator, Mrs. Pouline, Monitoring member participated in the Coordination meeting and Workshop on “Conflict Management” on 12 th to 14 th November 2019 in Coimbatore Multipurpose Social Service Society.

Bank Linkage:Sri Lakshmi SHG received loan amount of Rs. 6,00,000/ - from the ICICI bank and Mahilampoo SHG received loan amount of Rs. 6,50,000/- from ICICI bank at Attur block.

New Thrust:Mr. David Raja Point Person Participated in the Half yearly review meeting at TASOSS on 24 th and 25 th October 2019.
On 7 th November 2019 we conducted Organization Resource Mapping Tool Training at SSSS. The Zonal Programme officer Mrs. Mary Nirmala, TASOSS facilitated the programme.

Minority Welfare Department:On 26 th October 2019 Rev. Fr. M.Rajamanickam, Director, Mr. David Raja, Coordinator and Mrs. Dorathy Ruban Coordinatorparticipated in the Pastoral Council meeting at Epiphany Center. Mr. David Raja explained about the Aim and Activities of Christian Women Aid Society. 5 TAMCO loan Application submitted in Minority office on 12.11.2019.

NABARD:Salem Social Service Society expressed its willingness to NABARD to start Farmers Producers Groups In Kolathur and Thalaivasal Blocks. NABARD has agreed and gave us permission to start Farmers Producers Groups in Kolathur Block. PODF-ID - Sanctioned thegrant assistance for promotion of Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in Kolathur Block, Salem District Tamil Nadu.

In the month of October2019, we celebrated the festival of light (Diwali) with Paramathi people on 26.10.2019. During the celebration we motivated them about the air pollution. The People are happy about this celebration. Around 150 people participated in this celebration. At the end of this celebration sweets and some cracks were distributed to the children and youth.

In the month of November 2019, we celebrated children’s day at Paramathi on 17.11.2019. The children were very actively participated in this celebration. The value of living and joy of the childhood were shared in this celebration. The children danced well during the celebration. Around 70 children participated in this event. They expressed their joy and sharing with others. Finally we thank all the parents for their efforts to bring their children to this event.
