Kolping India: Kolping Coordinator Mrs. A. L. Dorathy Ruban, Mr. David Raja and Ms. Gayathri visited Naranampalayam Parish on 24th Feb 2019 to form new groups for kolping India. Our Coordinator oriented the parishioners about the Kolping project and Self Help Group.
On 3rd March Our Staff visited Masilapalayam Parish to form a new kolping group. The people showed their willingness to form the Kolping Group. The Resource Mapping exercise was conducted on 12th March 2019 at Booamnur village, the pepole from arockiyapuram village patticipated in this programme.

New Thrust: On 4th of March we have conducted District Federation meeting at SSSS. From Attur, Gangavalli, Thalaivasal, Manjakuttai, Valapady area self-help group women participated in this district federation meeting and also we had discussed about the women’s planning. The Zonal Programme officer Mrs. Mary Nirmala, TASOSS facilitated the programme.

Assistance to Minorities: The TAMCO loan form Particulars for 30 members were sent to TAMCO office Chennai. The total amount of Rs. 14,52,750- was distributed to the beneficiaries from Salem Central Co – Operative Bank as loan for various activities.

Women’s Day Celebration: SSSS observed Women’s Day in R.C. School campus, Attur Block. Rev. Fr. Gregory Rajan Parish Priest of Attur, Rev. Fr. M. Rajamanickam, Director of Salem Social Service Society, Mrs. Anne Rose, Project Coordinator, TASOSS, Mrs. Malliga Manogar, Chief female medical unit, Indian Hospital Society, and Mrs. Renuga Aliver, Honorary Secretary, Christian Women Aid Society, Salem were present on the women’s day celebration and gave an inspiring talks to the women groups. We launched Caritas India’s Campaign against Hunger and Disease of the Lenten Campaign in Attur parish. Mr. Dr. Pandiraj and his team give a special programme Debate on “The path to today’s women” is “Planned Path?” Or “Steering Path?” The group members sang the awareness songs. Nearly 600 members participated in this programme. Lunch was provided to all the participants.
